On 13\u2011 14 May 2025, the second KnowHowHP<\/em> consortium meeting took place at Rosenheim University of Applied Sciences. Representatives from all project partners gathered to advance key topics, exchange insights, and plan concrete implementation steps for the coming months.<\/p>\n\n

Focus: Thinking Renovation Holistically<\/strong><\/p>\n\n

The meeting centered on further developing an integrated renovation process for existing multi\u2011family homes, aiming to make heat pump deployment practical and efficient. Participants discussed how to better coordinate different trades\u2014from planning and installation to operation\u2014to minimize technical and organizational hurdles.<\/p>\n\n

Heat Pump Planning Tool: Requirements from Practice<\/strong><\/p>\n\n

A central topic was the development\u2011stage heat pump planning tool. Discussions focused on the requirements this tool must meet to provide real practical value for planners and installation companies. The goal is to create a user\u2011friendly instrument that accounts for both technical sizing and building constraints\u2014reducing planning errors, saving time, and increasing planning certainty.<\/p>\n\n

Training Partnerships and Course Development<\/strong><\/p>\n\n

Another focus was on shaping future training offerings through WP3. Rosenheim University shared content and experiences from existing education programmes. Together with partners, course formats, content, and durations were discussed. The aim is to create a modular training system that addresses the specific needs of installation businesses, energy consultants, and planners. New training partnerships are also being considered to help integrate KnowHowHP<\/em> content into existing educational structures long\u2011term.<\/p>\n\n

Website & External Communication<\/strong><\/p>\n\n

On the second day, the current status of the project website and online communication (WP6) was discussed alongside RENOWAVE.AT. The site is under development and aims to consolidate essential information for professionals, stakeholders, and the general public. Strategic external communication\u2014via social media, professional articles, and events\u2014was also addressed and aligned with upcoming project milestones.<\/p>\n\n

Stakeholder Involvement & Collaboration<\/strong><\/p>\n\n

Fraunhofer Italia and RENOWAVE.AT led a session on involving external stakeholders (T2.3 & WP6). Close collaboration with practice partners, educational institutions, and associations is key to ensuring the long\u2011term impact of KnowHowHP<\/em> results. The first course activities are planned for autumn.<\/p>\n\n
