The focus was on how experts can be better supported in the future to successfully install heat pumps in existing apartment buildings. <\/p>\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Thinking About Heat Pumps and Renovation Together<\/h2>\n\n<p>The <strong>KnowHowHP<\/strong> project explores how climate-friendly heating systems can be implemented more easily, safely, and frequently in existing buildings. A particular focus is on multi-family dwellings, where the transition to heat pumps often involves complex technical, planning, and organizational issues. <\/p>\n\n<p>To this end, the project is developing training programs and a practical planning approach that considers building retrofits and heating systems together. The goal is to support planners, energy consultants, installers, and other professionals with practical knowledge and concrete tools. <\/p>\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">A Focus on Course Concepts and Continuing Education Formats<\/h2>\n\n<p>At the workshop in Kempten, participants worked intensively on future course concepts and continuing education formats. Together with the project partners, they refined the content, discussed target audiences, and further developed formats designed to provide the most direct practical benefits possible. <\/p>\n\n<p>In addition to the content itself, the focus was also on the structured organization and consolidation of knowledge. The goal is to ensure that expertise in the areas of heat pumps, building retrofits, and planning is made clearly accessible and can be effectively conveyed in upcoming training sessions. <\/p>\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">A Look Ahead<\/h2>\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-media-text is-stacked-on-mobile\" style=\"grid-template-columns: 51% auto;\">\n<figure class=\"wp-block-media-text__media\"><img fetchpriority=\"high\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"1024\" height=\"768\" class=\"wp-image-726 size-full\" src=\"https:\/\/www.knowhowhp.eu\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/04\/IMG_6345-1-1024x768.jpg\" alt=\"\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.knowhowhp.eu\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/04\/IMG_6345-1-1024x768.jpg 1024w, https:\/\/www.knowhowhp.eu\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/04\/IMG_6345-1-300x225.jpg 300w, https:\/\/www.knowhowhp.eu\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/04\/IMG_6345-1-768x576.jpg 768w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 1024px) 100vw, 1024px\" \/><\/figure>\n<div class=\"wp-block-media-text__content\">\n<p>The consortium meeting demonstrated once again how important practical continuing education is for the heating transition in existing buildings.
