Rosenheim University of Applied Sciences (THRo) is known for its expertise in the fields of building physics, building envelopes, energy-efficient construction, passive houses, timber construction, structural analysis of timber structures, and the science of wood materials. The latest developments in teaching and research in these areas are incorporated into the degree programs and continuing education offerings. The Faculty of Applied Natural and Human Sciences offers the bachelor’s programs in Energy and Building Technology and the master’s program in Building Physics, which are very popular due to their career-oriented focus. Given the very broad range of subjects, the faculty also covers many specialized fields, from construction-related subjects such as building physics, construction informatics, construction management, and construction economics to selected areas of physics; the entire faculty is supported by numerous lecturers from industry and business. To ensure that the course content remains up to date, many faculty members are active in research and development as well as in the business world. The Department of Research, Development, and Knowledge Transfer is responsible for coordinating and implementing the project in cooperation with the Academy for Working Professionals, the continuing education institution at Rosenheim University of Applied Sciences. It offers continuing education courses, certificate programs, and seminars for working professionals at both the practical and academic levels. In recent years, training courses for professionals and instructors in the field of heat pumps have been offered. THRo is also a training partner of the VDI and has conducted the “Heat Pump Certification” course. THRo is a valuable project partner that meets the needs of scientific research, the development of specific teaching materials, and course providers, thereby supporting the project in terms of content.
