The Agenzia per l’Energia Alto Adige – CasaClima, based in the NOI Techpark in Bolzano (Italy), is an organisation of the Autonomous Province of Bolzano – South Tyrol. Its institutional goal is to implement the energy and climate policy guidelines of the regional energy plan “KLIMAPLAN Südtirol 2050”. CasaClima is also a nationally recognised competence centre and certification body for sustainable and energy-efficient construction. Between 2002 and 2022, over 12,000 buildings throughout Italy were awarded the KlimaHaus/CasaClima energy certificate.

CasaClima has extensive experience in the planning and implementation of energy and climate policy measures for municipalities and public administrations. The company also specialises in increasing energy efficiency in small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs). The institute has developed its own sustainability protocols for various building types and uses as well as quality seals for construction elements such as windows, doors, ventilation systems and heat pumps.

cWith a large network of experts, consultants and partner companies, CasaClima is also strongly positioned in the area of training and further education. In 2022, 35 courses were held with over 700 participants – a total of over 45,000 people since the start of activities. CasaClima actively contributes this expertise to the project, particularly in its training activities.

CasaClima is also involved in numerous research projects at regional and European level and leads Action Group 9 of the EU Macro Strategy for the Alpine Region (EUSALP), focussing on energy efficiency and local renewable energies – in both the public and private sectors. A total of 41 employees and additional external specialists work for CasaClima.
